Meridian Academy maintains relationships with most of school districts in the Greater Lehigh Valley area. We are an alternative placement option for K-8 students with the primary exceptionality of Emotional Disturbance. Meridian Academy does also accept private referrals and family-paid tuition. The traditional process for admission is as follows:
Step 1: District/Charter completes Pre-enrollment Form and sends current IEP, NOREP, RR, and FBA to Meridian Academy (MA).
Step 2: MA Director reviews paperwork and sets up a call with LEA to ask questions, propose changes, and communicate acceptance.
Step 3: Schedule tour of building with LEA and family, including student.
Step 4: MA Director issues the Tuition Agreement and schedules the Intake Meeting.
Step 5: MA Director receives the signed Tuition Agreement.
Step 6: Intake Meeting takes place with review of IEP revisions, Student & Family Handbook, and daily operating procedures and expectations.
Step 7: First month's payment must be received prior to the student starting.
Step 8: IEP will be updated and renewed within 30 days of enrollment.
